This volume presents New Testament theology in a survey style discussion of the principal theological and interpretive issues of the discipline.
The purpose of this study is to equip pastors, Bible students, and laymen with the necessary skills and knowledge to develop a sound theology of the New Testament.
Dr. Bond’s methodology is distinct from a systematic assimilation which garners its truth not only from the entire book of the Bible, but as well from outside sources which results in a philosophical exegesis of the Scriptures rather than a purer biblical theological exegesis.
Emphasis is place on the work of leading theologically-conservative writers in the field. At the same time, Dr. Bond acknowledges the immense, and often helpful and insightful contributions of theologically liberal, modern, and postmodern scholars.
